Why Religious Militants Kill
Published on May 12, 2004 By mikimouse In Politics
"Stern, in her introduction, is frank about her goals and her fears in traveling around the world, at risk to herself, in order to first hand talk with individuals who "kill in the name of God." And she is an equal opportunity researcher: she interviews Christian, Jewish and Islamic terrorists."
You all need to read this interview to open your minds to the motivations and reasonings these terrorists have. And not only Islamic terrorists. All terrorists. I assume none here will be interested in learning about what makes terrorists do what they do. Consider how Bush says he's on a mission from God (like the terrorists do as well) and then consider if his reasonings are accurate.

Oh but I am interested in your link and the writings of Stern. I've saved it to read the article again later for the below posted quote struck a chord. We the christians?

Whoa there - not in MY name. Take me out of the WE equation.

Quote - In a recent book about George W. Bush, written by sympathetic authors from the Hoover Institute, one unnamed Bush relative is quoted as saying that Bush sees the war on terrorism ''as a religious war'': ''He doesn't have a P.C. view of this war. His view of this is that they are trying to kill the Christians. And we the Christians will strike back with more force and more ferocity than they will ever know.''

"Terror in the Name of God?" Who could be more ill-equiped to conduct a war against those who commit terror in the name of God than a man in the White House who commits terror in the name of God? What happens when the people conducting the war on terror conduct torture and light the fire of humiliation and anger that creates more terrorism? What happens when the anti-terrorist becomes the terrorizer? (This is completely BuzzFlash's assessment, not Stern's.) Unquote.
