"Everyone makes mistakes, but having ranks of soldiers and heavy weaponry at one's disposal can certainly make an error more dramatic". I love that title. It's so true, and of course we all love reading about blunders of all types. It covers the Italian cable car that was clipped by the US jet, the pilots whom, did all they could to hide their records and try avoid blame. Or Kennedy's betrayal over the Bay of Pigs fiasco. And the Iran Air passenger plane shot down by the US. killing scores of entire families. The bumbling personnel on the ship all received medals for their 'bravery'. Crazy. And of course France's Maginot Line, the line Hitler crossed without ever having to cross it. Finally, the Iran-Contra affair which gripped the nation back in the day. Read them, laugh, and perhaps even give your own input on what you would have done differently.
