this article and letter reminded me of the futility and waste that has been wrought from this bogus war on terror. It's a waste of human life and it's all because of lies and the ones who fell for it. My heart goes out to his family and I hope their life is not harder because her husband died in vain. End the madness. Bring them home now.
What a horrible day and a good day yesterday. It hopefully will never happen to me again. Earlier in the afternoon we found out my wife had a miscarriage. We spent all day at the emergency and it really made me see how bad the system is here now and how we need to pay premiums or get private health care somehow. A lady holding a rag to her bleeding scalp for over 2 hours, a guy with a screwed shoulder lying down asleep since he had been there for over 4 hours! Crazy. It was horrible and the l...

Today's a good day for me to reflect on how lucky I am to be happily yes happily married to the woman of my dreams. In fact, when I first saw her at the pool hall, I actually told my friend "man I could marry her"! The rest is history. 8 years and two boys and counting. But what I need to do is remember not to take my family for granted, as I fall prey to that human failing quite a bit I must confess. It's not that I don't want to be around them, it's more because with my friends I can yell when someone scores. All the guys go nuts loudly, and my wife and family don't understand that. So I made a ...
My wife and I decided to home school our children. We've been at it for at least a year and a bit and the benefits are worth the time and effort. Lots of people say it screws the kid up if he doesn't interact with kids in a school. Well for us that argument is moot since my kids still see and interact with other kids many times each week. There's homeschooling get-togethers twice a week, and we take them to many places where they play with other kids. I was just wondering if anyone else has t...
